On Sunday April 23, 2017, the Caterina Grace Foundation attended the Big Hearts for St Mary’s Walk at Crocheron Park in Bayside Queens NY. 100 close family and friends joined us as we walked 2 miles in honor of our sweet Caterina as well as all the children battling rare and serious illnesses and being treated by St. Mary’s Children’s Hospital. It was a beautiful day and we were happy to see many of Caterina’s nurses and therapists. A friendly online competition allowed us to create a team name – Team Caterina Grace to help support our walk and raise funding for this special hospital. Through sign ups and donations, the foundation was able to raise $11,000 for St. Mary’s Children’s Hospital, placing Team Caterina Grace in first place and winning the competition!
